Workforce Training and Professional Development

BCV Solutions was tasked by Morgan State University (School of Engineering) in Baltimore, MD to develop an innovative curriculum and conduct both live and web-based training for a unique Residential and Commercial Digital Technology Integration Certification Program (DHTI+), designed to enhance the vocational and technical skills of displaced, and transitional workers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our certified engineering instructors and consultants were responsible for marketing and promotion of the Certification Program, design of the hands-on laboratories, customization of the curriculum, preparation and execution of the lesson plan, providing technical support and assistance, provision of course materials, student and peer evaluations, providing subject matter experts and presentation speakers, team leadership and group facilitation, ensuring program compliance with CompTIA and Cisco Learning Institute Standards.
BCV Solutions was responsible for the delivery of training and development services in the areas of cabling, audio/video, networking, electrical, security and surveillance, HVAC, water and lighting automatic controls. Our project leadership was recognized to bring tremendous value and innovation to a new area of vocational development and our team’s contributions were enthusiastically received by the faculty and industry leaders in enhancing technical skill levels.

EVEN START FAMILY LITERACY PROGRAM
When the State of Maryland’s Even Start Family Literacy Program needed an approach for its instructors to improve their monitoring capabilities of viewing and examining real-time dynamics within family relational interactions, the Coordinating Director of the Prince George’s County Program requested BCV Solutionsprovide solutions to meet their needs. Instead of simply satisfying their basic requests, our firm met their requirements and enhanced their objectives by designing an innovative approach using cutting-edge technology to enhance the surveillance, analysis and distance-learning capabilities of the educators and staff. Our firm significantly improved the Program’s evaluation of parents needing basic education skills or with limited English proficiency. Our unique approach and system design was the first ever in County’s academic environment and was successfully expanded to other academic and private venues.
YOUNG ADULT ENTREPRENEUR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
Consultants from BCV Solutions directed and managed an intensive job readiness training program providing advance professional skills in business planning, marketing, finance and management for a successful Young Adult Entrepreneur Leadership Program. The Program participants ranged from a diverse population of at-risk students, minorities and displaced workers within the ages of 16-22, sponsored by The Urban League of Greater Hartford. The program had a positive impact with over 50 participating young adults, with successful completion of high school or community colleges, improvement in college acceptance rates and an increase in the viability and success of entrepreneurial start-ups among the graduates.

The staff of BCV Solutions has conducted cultural audits, provided diversity awareness, coached and consulted senior managers in addressing fair employment standards, quality assurance, change management, human development, performance appraisals and mentoring relationships with over 20,000 participants nationwide. Our consultants currently deliver effective counseling to academic administrators with the objectives of retaining student enrollment and motivation at a local community college of 1,200 students. Our consultants have broad and extensive experience with working closely with academic, industry, non-profit and governmental service providers for revitalizing communities, health and education centers, job placement, culturally diverse and special needs populations.
